ust extremely lost why the thing works on its side, but not sitting up?!?!!?!? EDIT: I forgot to mention that when the case is standing straight up after a few seconds I hear something (a fan?) falter for a brief half-second or so and then in a few seconds the computer turns off.?SOLVED New SATA hard drives not recognized I unplugged my existing HD’s (in RAID-0) from the mobo, changed the BIOS SATA Configuration to “IDE” and restarted my computer. Sure enough, the mobo recognized the new HD’s, but reported that BOTH had errors. The tech support guy said the drives should be showing up in BIOS with the serial # (6L250SQ), and not “SABRE”. I remember reading somewhere that SATA drives don’t have master/slave settings, so I’m wondering why these even have a jumper in the first place. In a final act of desperation I moved the jumper on one of the drives from the left two pins to the right two pins and it was instantly recognized as a Maxtor 6L250S0 (and not a Maxtor SABRE). I put the jumper back and it went back to a Maxtor SABRE. HMMM, interesting. I removed the jumpers and both drives are recognized by the model number and work perfectly,Louis Vuitton Scarf. I checked the tech support website and it says the jumpers are ” only for factory use as there is no master/slave on these drives”,Cheap Louis Vuitton Purses, but nowhere does it mention that if the jumper remains in the drive (at least on the 2 pins to the left) it will fail to be recognized by BIOS.?SOLVED storing laptop parts Quick question though. Does anyone know if I should store the hardware parts I took out of the HP Pavilion Dv7-1279wm laptop in a anti-static bag while its doing nothing but sitting on my desk collecting dust The hardware that is just sitting around collecting dust that I am wondering if its safe to leave sitting out is Memory, internal wifi, cmos battery that powers laptop, harddrive, dvd drive/burner, keyboard, screen, part of the case,Louis Vuitton Speedy Bags, was as far as I got,Louis Vuitton Handbags Online. still have the motherboard attached to other part of the case. It’s been nice having it dismantled so I don’t have urges to “Related articles:
